Wallet Setup & Recovery

Mobick uses a self-custody wallet. Because control of your assets rests entirely with you, be sure to back up your recovery phrase safely.

1. Install the App

Install the official wallet app, BTCMobick. Always install it only from the official channels (developer: Otaverse).

2. Create a Wallet

  1. Launch the app and select Create New Wallet.
  2. The app generates and displays your recovery phrase (seed words).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set a lock (password, or fingerprint/face recognition).

3. Back Up Your Recovery Phrase (Seed): Most Important

Your recovery phrase is the only key that can restore your wallet.

  • Write it down exactly, in order, offline (on paper, etc.) and store it somewhere safe.
  • Do not save it in screenshots, the cloud, messengers, or text messages.
  • Never share it with anyone. Even the operators will never ask for your recovery phrase.
  • If you lose your recovery phrase, your assets cannot be recovered, ever.

After the backup, the app may ask you to confirm the phrase. Enter the words in order to verify that the backup is correct.

4. Recover / Import a Wallet

If you change devices or reinstall the app, you can load your existing wallet again.

  1. In the app, select Recover (Import) Wallet.
  2. Restore using one of the following methods:
    • Enter your recovery phrase (seed words)
    • Enter your private key / WIF
    • Scan a QR code
  3. Set the lock (password / biometrics) again.

5. Security Lock

The app supports fingerprint/face recognition or password-based locking. Be sure to set it up to guard against loss or theft.
